UK PM Theresa May sets Brexit deadline for March 2017

The British prime minister says the formal process of leaving the European Union will begin by end of March 2017 before German elections due in September 2017.
In an interview with Sunday Times newspaper, Theresa May ruled out an early general elections saying it will cause instability in the country. May also said that she would repeal the European Communities Act that took Britain into the bloc 44 years ago. Overturning the act will take legal effect once Britain formally leaves the European Union. Britain and the EU are at odds over a string of issues particularly Britain’s tendency to remain a member of the European single market after leaving the union.
